Hazel Welch of Seaton received the Elizabeth Walker Cup.
As the 2007 congress was the 60th event in the
current series, the Congress Secretary, Alan Crickmore, thought it would a
good idea to commemorate the fact with a novel idea.
Each player was given a unique number, and at the start of
each round a name was drawn out of a bag, and was awarded a book token to
the value of £20, to be exchanged at the bookstall. There was one winner
for each section for each round, 21 in all.
These were the lucky few.
