St.
Marychurch chess club meets every Thursday evening from 7:00pm till
11:00pm in the committee room (upstairs) at St. Marychurch &
Babbacombe Conservative Club, 29 Manor Road, Torquay, TQ1 3JX.
About
the club:
The
club has a wide range of ages and playing strengths and new members of
any standard are very welcome.
We
have teams in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd
divisions of the Torbay league and in the knockout cup and Rapidplay
league. We also run an inter-club competition.
So,
if you have an interest in chess or are looking to play competitive
chess, please feel free to come along.
Over
the weekend 23rd - 25th February the East Devon Congress was held
in St. George's Hall, Exeter. The winner of the Intermediate
was Chris Southall who has provided his games
HERE.
